I was going to publish anything that would make you yawn or help you sleep.
Because the modern world needs to learn to rest and I find yawning so powerful.





WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT WRONG.
That a yawn is when someone is bored while they're listening to you.
Actually, what it means is they feel safe in your company.
They feel at home, so it's a great thing when someone yawns near you.
THE YAWN IS A MEGA EXPERIENCE OF LETTING GO..
..of thoughts, of concepts, of ideas.
For a moment you let go of any needing to do anything.
How often do you get to feel that?
WHEN YOU YAWN, YOU DISAPPEAR INTO IT
For a few moments, you disappear into the feeling.
You become the feeling.
You become the movement of energy flowing up and out of the body.
Energy flowing freely is very pleasant.
A WAY INTO TRANSCENDENCE?
It’s one of those moments of being completely present to the experience.
It can be those little moments in life that are a way into stillness.
We can connect to those moments so we can have more peace in our life.
WHEN YOU YAWN, YOU LOSE YOUR EGO.
The ego is constantly wanting you to do stuff.
It’s either wanting stuff or worrying about stuff.
Not when we yawn.
We just experience the present fully without needing to change anything.
A MINI PLANT MEDICINE RETREAT.
With a yawn, you might sample a tiny bit of that ego death that you get on plant medicine retreats or in deep meditation.
That not needing to do anything, that not, no trying, that just experiencing.
You can sample a little of that.
And a little of that feeling of time-stopping is a big deal.
A YAWN IS THE FINAL RATTLE OF THOUGHTS RELEASED
I like the way that the yawn lets go of ideas.
The energy just rattles up, rising up and out of the body without getting stuck in thoughts.
Imagine if your problems did that?
IT'S SURPRISING WHAT CAN BE HEALED JUST BY LETTING GO OF SOMETHING
Just by not doing rumination.
Just by letting go and letting life happen,
It's us that sustain our problems.
Would they even exist without us thinking about them and adding to them?
YES, SOMETIMES WE CAN JUST STOP ‘DOING’ OUR PROBLEMS.
Whenever we hold onto something, like holding feelings down or ruminating our thoughts, they don't flow.
That's when we keep repeating habitual behaviours and thought patterns.
That’s when we cause these stresses in our life.
I mean, no one else is ‘doing’ your problems like you are?
SO, THE YAWN IS A WAY INTO TRANSCENDING OUR PROBLEMS.
Take that feeling of yawning and use it.
It’s like a type of hypnosis.
When you feel stress, imagine bringing on that flowing, yawn feeling.
Use that feeling of energy flowing up and expressing out.
Let it flow, maybe you sigh or you yawn and in some way it lets go of the problem.
RIDICULOUS!
And if you're thinking, that's ridiculous, my problems are important to me, how dare you say a yawn will sort it out?
I'm sure the yawn won't sort all of your life problems.
But just imagine if it did, and you thought it did, you just thought;
‘if I sigh or yawn, and I'm present right now, that is enough.
There's nothing I need to do in this moment.’
The yawn or sign would be enough.
Just some breaths out, and the emotions moving through will be enough.
Then that will be enough. You'd be enough.
Because the present IS enough.
You wouldn't need to keep sustaining anything.
You wouldnt need to keep worrying about something, you wouldn't need to keep holding anything, you wouldn't need to keep up an argument..
..you.. would.. just..
Let it go..
THE YAWN OF ALL YAWNS.
When you die, I feel like that's like a bit like a huge yawn.
It's almost like you shed your own skin and your soul comes out your mouth.
And you're free from doing anything or needing to do anything.
Hopefully that’s not for a long time but I’m looking forward to it in a way.
