..so what did you dial into first thing this morning?

At school, we had to go to church, and the teachers that liked it the most seemed to be the least kind, so I developed a dislike for what I thought was ‘sacred’.

Maybe that’s why it took me so long to realise something in my life should be sacred...my focus, my awareness, my experience.

I don’t want to waste it on being annoyed.

I want to use it to create beautiful things.

I want to use it to feel appreciation for beautiful things.

..as our lives become what we focus our awareness on.

This all sounds kinda religious, doesn’t it?

Maybe we can see it in a different way.

This isn’t giving power to a God like in the TV series American Gods..

..it’s a way of valuing YOUR power!

If you are with me up to here, this leaves just one more rather important point..

..How do we treat something as sacred if we’ve stripped sacredness from modern life?

Modern life encourages us to value ourselves by our achievements;

our popularity, our money, our followers or our productivity.

Sacred is above all that..

It can be a journey back to sacredness.

But in my experience, it also feels very natural.

Life is better when we have something to value.
